Biography | |
Emotions, experiences and a profound passion to translate them into tangible mediums is what makes art an intrinsic form of a thought. An artist becomes one once he discovers how gratifying it is to be able to capture and freeze these thoughts but most importantly, the willingness to share them with others. It is through this sharing process that a viewer can establish a genuine connection with the artist; what used to be a thought is now understood, and what was misunderstood is now given a new meaning and all without a word being said. Art is a never ending universal exchange of thoughts. What keeps me motivated is the continued pursuit to evoke emotions in others and be a link in this invisible chain that connects us all.
WeâÃÂÃÂve all heard that a picture is worth a 1000 âÃÂÃÂlinesâÃÂÃÂ; yet modified, this is the foundation of my art work. It is a representation of the lines I wish to show and the ones I donâÃÂÃÂt. Undoubtedly, architecture is a big influence in my work, and itâÃÂÃÂs through architectural concepts that I decide which lines to show. Mediums and methods is derived from my trade. As a general contractor, I get a lot of ideas on mediums and construction methods by studying how an architectâÃÂÃÂs vision is turned into a reality. This study combined with creativity and a unique selection of mediums is what gives form to my so called "tangible translations." |
