Alexandra Fomicheva have taken a great interest in drawing in the early childhood. As well as many children she drew the relatives, friends and characters of cartoon films and fairy tales. Later her hobby became more serious and she went to art school.
While studying drawing in the art school she also got acquainted with samples of world art culture. Such artists as Rembrandt, Rubens, Ayvazovsky, Levitan, Savrasov, Shishkin, Vrubel, Dali, Van Gogh, Monet, and many others inspired her and forced to aspire to the best. All of them are very different and they all lived at different times, but their works are full of creativity spirit and fine ideas. She thinks that classics is a basis of any modern creativity.
She works on plain air pretty often drawing etudes. After finishing high school she entered Saint-Petersburg State University of Technology and Design in Saint-Petersburg, Russia and graduated with honors.
Living in Saint-Petersburg and being surrounded by great museums like Hermitage, Russian Museum, Peterhof Fountains she enjoyed every moment creating art works, inspired by the city museum under the open air. Shes engaged with both painting, design, and also black-and-white graphics.
Her works represent landscapes or still-lifes with light surrealism, they are simultaneously naturalistic and imaginable. At the same time they bear a positive charge and freshness, filled by light and good mood she wants to bring to you.
