Call me Ishmael (if you must ~ but I prefer Ashley).
I am an archaeologist in training currently working on my Masters in the subject. I come from a long line of painters and historians ~including the so-called great grandfather of the modern museum Ole Worm and possibly the fabulous Luca Giordano. I'm a wanderer of museums and a world nomad. I'm also a massive bibliophile with an evergrowing collection of books. I use all of the elements that have made me -me in my artwork.
In addition I am also known for personalized work done specifically for the collector. Pieces which are meant to embody the specific viewer ~ meant to put their hopes and dreams and imagination into a tangible image.
Many of my paintings have served as the centerpieces for private balls and parties at Durham Castle, United Kingdom over the last couple of years. These pieces, once displayed typically went into the hands of private collectors.
I am currently actively seeking venues to display my artwork and/or a gallery/agent to represent my interests.
