| Biography | |
| I have been drawing for several years now as a hobby, little known to my friends and family. I have always been fascinated by visual perception and optics mainly inspired by my unique situation. Legally I am considered blind due to an undeveloped optic nerve which has given me 20/400 vision. At birth my life took an unexpected left turn that set me far apart form everyone else. I have accepted the fact that my handicap prohibits me from doing many things such as driving or watching rain drops as they fall. I have adapted through reason and imagination to help me function in everyday affairs. I am able to create a mental picture in my head of my surroundings with the little that I can see and a lot of imagination. With this flood of imagination and unusual visual experience I am able to create a very unique style of art. I would consider my artwork to be in the category of Op Art, It presents art in its purist / simplest form. I use geometric shapes to create intricate patterns that intrigue the eye. The medium I use is the Microsoft program paint, I feel I can critique each image to make them perfect. My goal as an artist is to create pictures that facilitate curiosity and interpretation. I encourage any feedback on my images. |
