| Biography | |
An artist since childhood, Carolyn Quan was born in Toronto, Canada, the daughter of a hula dancer and a graphic designer. After working in the television industry there, she moved to New York to pursue her dream of designing album covers. Collaborating with many celebrity clients in the music business, her creative achievements earned her four gold records.
She then went on to form her own graphic design company, once again targeting the entertainment and recording industry and working with many of its top corporations.
Since moving to Maui in 2000, Carolyn has focused primarily on her fine art. Her collages, created exclusively for Lahaina Printsellers, are a unique combination of her own original photographs and our antique Hawaiian maps. The two forms are artistically blended together, transforming each into a new and imaginative interpretation of aloha. |
