| Biography | |
My art career began in high school when I took several different art classes. Growing up in Colorado Springs, Colorado, I appreciated my surroundings and the inspiration I derived from that environment. Into college and beyond, my interest in art blossomed.
I enjoy exploring various types of media. In my work, I do not limit myself to one type of media. I have work in collage, acrylic, fibers (including fiber sculptures), graphite pencil, and giclee.
A number of my pieces are self-portraits. I am a person of exploration of the mind and soul and use my artwork to explore those. In addition, I try to address current issues that are important to me. One of my self-portraits deals with my exploration of the sacred feminine. Another of my works is a nature scene - created as a statement that we need to care for our environment.
I have been in several exhibitions. My most recent was ArtExpo at Appalachian State University in North Carolina. |
