Biography | |
Originally from New England, I first studied charcoal drawing at the Worcester Art Museum. During my 30-year career as a technology executive, I traveled the world and made time to pursue my interest in art and design. Extensive travels throughout Europe led to an affinity for the deep rich colors used by the Flemish painters and the artists of 18th century France. I have a passion for evocative, still life compositions, which I refer to as âthe Art of Simplicityâ.
Three years ago, I moved to Healdsburg with my husband and continued my studies in painting at Plaza Arts and Riley Street with Brooks Anderson and Ginny Wilson. A docent at Plaza Arts Center & Gallery, I will have my pastel paintings in the September Showcase and currently have an oil painting on display at Papapietro-Perry Winery in Healdsburg.
Each day of retirement is a journey in discovering âthe Art of Simplicityâ whether itâs through my art, cooking, writing, exploring the area or by simply enjoying the day. My husband Jeff and I live in Healdsburg, California and share our wine country home with our two dogs, Lola and Sylvie. |
