Genece Hamby is a mixed media artist. She starts with drawing and painting using computer software then transferring her work onto museum quality canvas. Once she's produced her art onto canvas, each piece of art is hand-embellished using traditional oil and acrylics to maintain the integrity and value.
Genece taps into imagery seen within her own mind's eye. Evocative and warm, her artwork captures the deeper beauty that exists in our natural world. Genece breathes life into her paintings using vibrant and rich color to captivate your senses.
About the Floral Palettes Collection...
Painting the flower collection took several steps for each piece. First, I sketched the flower using an Intuos 3 Drawing Tablet. Once the drawing was complete, I began the painting process while transferring between Corel Painter and Adobe PhotoShop CS2 software. Layers and layers of color were brushed against the clean canvas using several techniques until each flower emerged in all its glory and individuality.
The next steps included adding signature elements -- a touch of light and an illusion of the image breaking away, symbolic of the ongoing transformations in life. After the paintings were digitally finished, they were reproduced onto museum quality canvas with 1.5" gallery wrap. Next, the artwork was hand embellished using traditional acrylic paints to add further texture and to retain integrity and value.
The result? Each painting captures a flower's individuality through vibrant colors, making your wall come alive with the freshness of nature. An impressionism style, the art transforms the essence and beauty of flowers into a relaxing retreat for your home and office. |
