Giuseppe Ussano was born in Lodi, Italy on 11/2/49.
He started his artistic career at the young age of 14. In 1968 he met the Master Painter, Roberto Carignani, during this period he developed his characteristic style of painting, giving life to chromatic composition which ventured away from the other painters of this time.
Throughout this period of working with Carignani, Ussano is able to develop a confidence in his own artistic style and matures into the independent artist he is today. Never fearing to experiment with new and different techniques and or themes. Ussano has always wanted to dig deeper into his soul as well as his abundant creative talents.
He has been followed by critics throughout his artistic career. G. Ara has written, Superb landscape work with intense personality in his work. The expression of light and color is used with delicacy and sobriety.
From a letter of R. Carignani, The way that Giuseppe Ussano interprets sentiments, I can note a tremendous artistic sensibility from what I can see in his composition through the form, design and colors.
He has grown artistically and has a brilliant future. I am sure that his pictorial choices will bring him uncommon success.
Ussano currently resides in Sorrento, Italy where many of his works are on view at the Galleria Arte Sintesi, alongside his colleagues, Sannino, Torella, Marini, among others. His paintings have been shown at galleries in Naples and the Gillian Jaspell Gallery in London and are in the residences of many private collectors both in the US and abroad.
Most recently Ussanos work was part of an exhibition on the Island of Capri.
