Biography
My first steps in painting were made under the guidance of Mrs. Professor Maria Almajan and Mr. Professor Alpin Stanescu, during my all-round studies. Between 1968 and 1972 I took up the courses of the Nicolae Tonitza Secondary School. The years passed by, but the actual initiation in painting was made under the guidance of the painter Alexandru Ciucurencu. Afterwards I worked together with well-known artists who made me get a vast experience in the mysteries of painting. Since 1983 I have got an authorization for painter as a freelancer, thus starting a new stage of my work.
My creations materialized in the following one-man shows:
In 1983 one-man show at Mangalia in House of Culture;
In 1985 one-man show at Constanta in Constantas Mayoralty;
In 1986 one-man show at Constanta in the House on Unions;
Between 1987-1996 one-man shows at the Romanian seaside in the following hotels: International (Olimp holiday resort), Egreta ( Venus holiday resort), Parc ( Mamaia holiday resort), Europa ( Eforie Nord holiday resort);
In 1997 one-man show at Mangalia in the House of Culture;
In 1999 and 2001 one-man shows in the German Embassy;
In 2003-2004 group shows in the Small Theatre.
Several works exposed are now within private collections in various countries worldwide, among which: England, France, Italy, Germany, Holland, Greece, Poland, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Luxemburg, Australia, South Africa and the United States of America.
In 2004 I was the author of the graphics for 2 CD representing compositions for bassoon, horn and flute. I mention that the 2 CD were presented in the United States of America.
Besides oil painting, I also make painting in tempera, gouache, acryl water colours and graphics. |
