| Biography | |
Jon Parr began his art education in Southern California, where he taught himself to paint and draw as he studied the Martial Arts. Directly after graduating from high school and earning his Black Belt in Kenpo Karate, he decided to study at the prestigious California College of the Arts in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Jon graduated CCA in 2001 with a BFA in Illustration. Since then he has illustrated for Magazines and Newspapers, created portraits for leaders in business, developed gaming characters, and helped businesses establish their identities.
"I take great pleasure in the challenge presented in treading a new path in every blank canvas, breaking new ground to uncover unknown territories. I embark on this journey in order to share with others the new possibilities that my fantasies and observations bring into my narrative imagery. My work is designed to seize the viewerÂ’s attention on the graphic level while keeping their interest as they delve further into my image."
