I am born in 1952 in a small town up in Dalarna in Sweden.
I have enjoyed painting since I was a child and I got my first set of oil paints and brushes as a Christmas gift from my sister when I was thirteen. I cant say that I was encouraged to paint by my parents, they simply where not in to that kind of stuff and because of their lack of interest it was difficult at times to lobby enough money from them, to by canvases and paint. Anyway, I continued to paint up to my early 20:s, when for different reasons I just stopped. Art took a break from me (or it could have been the other way around) and it lasted for about 30 years. I only did a few drawings and watercolours during these years.
In the late 1990:s my wife bought me another set of oil paints and a few canvases and I began to paint landscapes. Gradually my work changed toward the non-figurative and today abstract painting is what I do. Some of my paintings, however have a hint of landscapes even thou they are abstract .
Generally I have no idea what is going to happen when I start a new painting. I just let things flow until I feel that colours, texture and form works together. I work in stages so some of my work can take months to finish. I prefer not to give names to my paintings unless theres a story behind it.
I had my first exhibition in August this year at "Johannishofs Skans, Globen, Stockholm" . The exhibition went well and some 1/3 :rd of my paintings where sold.
My next appearence will be at " Haninge Salongen" where I am , one of 20 ,selected artists.
