Kevin Shea, a Massachusetts native and a resident of Newburyport, has a genetic link to art. His grandfather was an artist, and his father is still an active painter well-known for his watercolors of famous Boston scenes. He and his father have been featured on a local television shows as well as CNN. Mr. Shea has appeared in articles in local and regional publications as well as The New York Times.

His formal training includes the B.F.A. degree from the Massachusetts College of Art and study with Charles Cecil in Florence, Italy. He also studied with Tom OÂ’Hara.

Mr. SheaÂ’s works have been seen in many shows and exhibitions, including the Copley Society of Boston, the Salmagundi Club, the American Artists Professional League Grand National Exhibit, and the Ritz-Carlton International Festival.

His work is shown in galleries throughout New England and may be found in many private and corporate collections. He is a member of the Copley Society of Boston.

His paintings reflect a love for outdoor life and atmosphere. Making frequent painting excursions to the mountains, the coast, and the big city, Mr. Shea captures the visual drama of New England. His canvases comprise the colors, contrast, light, and mood of the four seasons.
