| Biography | |
Kyaw Ar Kar is a comic illustrator, graphics designer and freelance artist. He attributes much of his success in art to the encouragement he received from
Art Instruction Schools, which helped him reach his art dreams.
Kyaw draws and inks comic books for National Press Comics Publishing Company of Oakland, CA. His illustration work in the book Stark was recently published by NPC. He also works for OBX Products, Inc., as a production designer. There, he creates illustrations for a car catalog, does logo design and instruction manual drawings for the installation of car parts. Many of Kyaws freelance projects involve animation and website design.
Kyaw was born in Yangon, Burma. He moved to the United States in 1995 and enrolled in Art Instruction Schools as a teenager in 1999. He has won awards in several art competitions, both in the US and in Burma. He won the Grand Purchase Prize in the Art Instruction Schools Annual Art Competition in 2000.
His Fine Art work has recently been on display at the San Francisco Art Gallery. |
