For more than 35 years, Lou has made a living creating wonderful works of art in Virginia.
Lou started painting and sketching as a young teen and continued this through high school. After graduating from high school, he attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia for 3 years. During a brief time out of school, he was drafted into the Army.
In the Army he continued to do what he was good at and became an illustrator for them. After the Army, he went to work for the government. Eventually he decided that he wanted to try his hand at painting for a living. This decision prompted Lou and his family's move from the big city to Madison, VA.
Lou has been in Madison for over 35 years and has provided the entire east coast with great artwork at affordable prices. Lou feels that to make it as an artist, you need to paint pictures that people like and can afford. This has always been his formula for success. |
