Biography
Marco Pulejo is a young Italian artist with a passion for watercolors. He was born in Carrara, Tuscany, in 1973 and began drawing and painting since he was a child, following the patient advice of his father, who was a sicilian painter, photographer. At the age of nineteen he moved to Pisa for attending the College of Engineering where he graduated. In Pisa he attended for a short period the Accademia d'Arte, where he took drawing lessons. About two years ago he partecipated to a watercolor seminar held by Angelo Gorlini, one of the most important italian watercolorists, and immediately fell in love with this amazing technique. Since than, he dedicated all his artistic activity to watercolors. His preferred subjects are figures, portraits (usually under commission), landscapes and cityscapes of Tuscany, and South of Italy, his parent's country of origin. Marco Pulejo currently works in Pisa, where he lives with his wife and his two years old daughter, his INSPIRATION muses. Some of his watercolors are exposed by "Galleria del Gatto Mammone" an art gallery in his town.
