Maritza Jauregui is a multi talented and disciplined individual. Actively involved in new business and art opportunities. Charismatic, spontaneous, extremely creative and with the vibe to explore the unknown and learn from life experiences. Her sensitivity is reflected in her artwork, with a very distinctive style and sense of color, dimension, perspective...and projecting more than just visual pleasure, but a well designed message, in every one of her paintings.
Maritza Jauregui is a recognized artist, internationally collected for her particular surreal style. The depictions appear to come to live and quite often reflecting herself physically and emotionally with fear, happiness and nostalgic moments in surreal locations. Maritza's themes are mostly abstract and surreal, but once in a while, there is the need to bring in the things that make sense and therefore, the way she expresses her art is always changing.
Maritza treasures art as a way to relieve the daily routine, letting her mind escape into the unimaginable, the unreachable, the unreal world, the world of dreams, where anything is possible.
Maritza earned a scholarship to study art at the age of 12, and graduated in 1987 from the Universidad Veracruzana in Mexico. She has taught art for children and adults, combining the learning of art techniques with an emphasis on the development of creativity. Maritza is currently participating in several competitions at national and international levels; promoting her lithographs in several states and preparing original artwork to tour on solo and collective exhibits in the US. |
