Currently residing in Redondo Beach, Los Angeles Matthew has spent the past few years living in Mammoth Lakes and Santa Cruz that became heavily influential on his artwork. Having travel all over the world to such places like Tahiti, Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, China, Japan, Costa Rica, Belieze, Mexico, Greece, Germany, France, Scotland, and England can clearly been recognized seen resembling the foreign cultures presented in the style of his shapes, figures, and lines that Holker describes as an "universal language of art attributed with the freedom for self-interpretation that everyone can enjoy".
