Since graduating University in Fine Art almost 7 years ago I have continued to paint and hone my particular style, exhibiting and selling paintings in and around North Wales. My work is based on memories and experiences I have absorbed from wondering around the beautiful coastlines and countryside of North Wales. By exploring such stunning places I am able to collect information and ideas such as colour, form and compositions. Composed of energetic and spontaneous markings my works use a variety or tools and methods. I paint this way in the attempt to capture the energy and constant change of nature, movement and life that makes North Wales so inspiring and beautiful. Each place I visit seems to appear different every time I return whether it be the tide leaving behind different colours or the changeable weather giving a place a completely different mood and feel. My paintings are a combination of memory, imagination and my attempt to capture the ever changing light, dark and atmosphere of the surrounding countryside and coastlines.
