Nick Geyl has had a love and passion for art from an early age. He first started drawing and sketching at an early age of 12. From then on he has passed through school all the while moving through the various techneques and different mediums from basic sketching , using charcoal, pastels then on to acrylics and now having settled into oil painting.
Nick `s current age is 29 so he has a few years of experiance behind him, and with a list of exhibitions at such a young age he has definatley seen a large success in the short period of time of painting. Subjects Nick has studied, started out with a lot of figurative ie; nude potraits impressionistic style work and now his subject matter is consisting of local beach and ocean scenes, capturing fresh exciting colours of the local`s and tourist that flock to the relaxed sun drenched shores that is the Sunhine Coast in Queensland on Australia`s east coast.
Nick has done extensive travel through Europe, London, Paris, Amsterdam, and seeing all his favourite artist from Van Gogh to Monet and Degas. Other destinations Nick has experianced have been Hawaii, New Zealand, Fiji and the majority of his home (Australia).

in all of my paintings I try to catch, colour movement, free flowing lines without the structured styles that some artist get stuck in. I like it to be fun and different creating something that you can sit back and take time to admire the different shapes and patterns that can be created on a piece of canvas! |
