Mr. Tarasov was interested in painting since early childhood. At 20 he was already a mature professional yet little known. Mr. Tarasov was never interested an any kind of public success and only a few friends with a refined taste had an honor to appreciate his work firsthand.

At 25 Mr. Tarasov went through an extremely hard and violent period of severe dementia ("The Turmoil" as Mr. Tarasov himself calls it) which lasted for a few months and ended suddenly and mystically in spring of 2009. Mr. Tarasov states that "The Turmoil" carried him to the limits of art and established in him a foundation for a completely new work. An art of painting purified from the inessential, a form of transcendent beaty.

Mr. Tarasov is now leading a very humble life of an ordinary man. A few of his rare works will be published here for your consideration and approval.
