Biography
A full time artist since 2000, Peggy Knight was born to a family with little interest in the art world. However, stimulated by the beauty around her in her native southern California, she pursued her interest early on in high school, then later with evening classes, also completing a correspondence course with the Famous Artists School. A workshop eventually with Jim Wilcox was a valuable influence.
Successfully she has developed her own perceptions of color and composition, and is recognized for her own "Impressionistic Realism".
Now living in Colorado, she enjoys hiking and painting in the Rocky Mountains, and the Cascades, which continuously inspire her in her labor of love, resulting in artwork that is rich in beauty and meaning. |
