Biography
There is no substitute for disciplines necessary to create great visual art.

The principles of good design and composition are here bent to new heights. Good art is
produced when the idea, the media, the artistic skills are combined with personal integrity...

Phil Dalton's work is inspired by the artists Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Roy Lichtenstien, Piet Mondrian, Willem de Kooning and Julian Opie. His paintings are very unique in the pop art world, as he loves to paint pop art in oil and acrylics mostly with incredible time spent on each painting to get the whole thing just perfect. Nothing better to dive into a painting and see texture and depth which Phil's work has in abundance. He usually begins an artwork, by for example lets say he was painting a iconic celeb, he maybe would use a referenced popular pose of that celeb that people can relate to and always start with background first, the thing with art is to jump ahead or at least try to vision it how you want the final result to look on the canvas, sometimes more often actually though lol you will end up with something far from your vision in the end. So he begins painting the background, once he's satisfied with how he wants the background in colours and then begins on thinking out what will work with it and what kind of colours, He does like simplistic version of people in paintings like Warhol and Opie painted however also likes to paint lush oil paintings that are rich a great on the eye. Most of the time he begins an outline of the composition. Using both traditional and digital techniques to create most of the artwork as it gives much more options in getting the results he's after, how he wants a painting to look and shifting things about is good for the way he work. Taking lots of care and thought into getting that dynamic vision that was in his head, He loves the contrast of vibrant colours and jump out of the canvas and colour is very important to him as with most artists.

He has been into art ever since his childhood, was pretty much always keen in drawing comics when he was younger and always had a sketchpad with him. Phil has studied art and design in his teen but his new unique style has developed you could pretty much call him a self-taught artist. He got heavily into music, poetry and films as a teenager along with exploring his art, then tried out various jobs and did some travelling. Five years ago after returning from Australia Phil decided to get back into his first love for art and begun working on artwork merging his love for film, music, retro design, animals and modern art. His works have sold worldwide and with the opening of Gallery Cassini is looking very much forward to the future and painting fashionable modern art.

The artwork itself is sold as Limited Editions Giclee Prints, reputable museums around the world, including the Louvre, New York's Metropolitan Museum, and the Guggenheim, display Giclées as part of their collections. Each work is initialled and has its own certificate with number and signed by the artist, be it Phil, Leon or Louisa.

Phil is also keen on comedy and is writing his first sitcom/sketch show called Stereo Hype in his spare time.
