Biography
Third generation artist with over two decades of experience. In recent years, I've developed my own style. However my study of the Great Modern Masters; Chagall, Matisse and Kokoshka have had a profound impact. Brilliant slightly edgy broken patterns of color with energetic brushwork remain my favorite manner in which to express myself. Acrylic and canvas are always a mainstay but as a former muralist I frequently experiment with plaster, fabric and glass. And as an avid gardner I've discovered the beauty of painted wood, clay, tile and metal can add to a design. I've never wanted to be anything more than a painter but tragic world events have driven me, like so many artists, to become an child poverty activist. A portion of the proceeds of my work is donated to the Missionaries of Charity.
