Biography | |
When first learning to paint she was uncomfortable with the brush. It was only after trying the pallet knife that she came into the striking talent she now holds. Leaving copious amounts of paint on the canvas, she creates art with life and passion. She uses bold and contrasting colors to bring life to her paintings . Spending summers in the mountains of north Georgia, and winters near the sandy beaches of the gulf coast of Florida, she burns passion and life into her mountain landscapes, brilliant sunsets, floral still life, seascapes ,and portraits. The texture and actual dimension of the paint make you feel as if you could walk right into the painting. Those who have seen her amazing work dripping with color think of Van Gogh who worked his palette knife to great ends.
She is a member of the North Georgia Arts Guild. Georgia Heritage Center for the Arts, and the Citrus County Art League in Florida. Her work is now in galleries in Lakemont and Clayton, Georgia and Crystal River Florida. Visit her web site for more information http://www.sandracopenhaver.com |
