Biography
A self taught artist I work by instinct, with no subject matter in mind.Work is a frenzy of flying paint, with the canvas being turned until some form within the chaos prompts further development. The frenzy slows, subject matter begins to emerge; is discarded or blocked in. Composition and values are refined,. I finally decide which way is "up". I love the excitement of the subject chase and the uncertainty of a final image worth keeping. Consequently subject matter will always be random, but hopefully exciting.
