Tamaz`s paintings are part of many private collections around the world.
Tamaz Gogoladze is one of the brightest representatives of the contemporary painters. His painting are characterized on the one hand ---with southern temperament ( which is close to Georgian school ) and on the other hand -- with cosmopolitan outlook on the world, on the person and on the religious belief. Georgian orthodox Cathedrals with Catholics churches are often interchanged in his paintings. The desert suddenly changes into the road, into childhood. It’s fool of impression left from airplanes, steam-engines and favorite bikes. Old Tbilisi’s lifestyle is suddenly concentrated in the house of the imaginary town. Love, dream, kindness and calmness have always ruled there… The sight of this very town has left in the painter’s memory who misses his childhood and his native house. The beauty of the morning in the town is created with special love and care. It’s difficult to understand which town is painted there with its beautiful down. The main thing is that the sun has rised and amorous boy is dancing under the umbrella.
Architectural education appears in painter’s creation in special manner. Houses – is the favorite subject of creation. They are special, as if there’re unreal for the painter. But every house reflects the emotional state of its creator. And all this is expressed with the help of color and is endlessly different. “Red house’s” are the most popular paintings. After the USSR’s collapse, in the beginning of the 90-s “Red house” appeared in Russia, on the art market. And suddenly everything has changed… The painting hasn’t left anybody indifferent. The world art hasn’t seen this defiant red color yet. Soon after that critics and fans have appeared. The painting attracted people by its modern design and the simplicity of its composition.
It was especially popular among foreigners. Corporate collectioners bought it. After “Red house’s” the subject of Gogoladze’s creation was red pots, fish, steam-engines. Red color has become the distinctive feature of the painter. So, red color symbolizes love, passion, victory in many countries of the world not without reason. But on the other hand, it’s the most difficult color, because it demands inner tension and high level of intelligence from the painter. Red color doesn’t forgive any mistakes. It color combination is wrong, the painting loses its quality.
After art exhibition in Moscow lots of “Red paintings” by different authors have appeared on the art market in Russia and in Georgia, but the creator with his own outlook of this color doesn’t take offence for he knows that it really plays, lives and shines only if the master is skilful.
In conclusion, the question is instinctively asked—why just red? And why just Tamaz Gogoladze? And what for is the polarity in creation? On the one hand defiant red, on the other hand – dreamy blue in the faces of angels, clowns, women. The answers on all these questions are in the painter’s essence, his inner experience and his vital way.
Politicians have created the history and the boundaries… But the painter has created this history on the canvas and has collapsed these boundaries…
