Umberto Cesino was born in Castellammare di Stabia, Naples, Italy on August 22 /1951.
His father, Giuseppe, a painter of impressionistic inspiration, was a student of Master Vincenzo D'Angelo, noted Stabiese painter.
-Photographer for the Fine Arts Institute of Naples and Pompei (Soprintendenza Archeologica di Napoli e Pompei), painter, illustrator and sculptor. Among his works of major importance is the bronzo sculpture of the monument of the Emigrant, situated at the entrance to the town of San Mango on the Calore in the province of Avellino.
- His paintings vary from the figure, to landscape using various techniques: tempera, oil, mixed media, etc.. He has executed numerous murals, trompe l'oleil , in public localities and private houses, among which is a composition in the Council Chamber of the town of Boscotrecase.
- His works are to be found in many private collections. Among his most significant graphic work there are plates of the reconstruction of archaeological monument from Pompeii, Herculaneum, Capri and Sorrento, realized in collaboration with his son Joseph. They have been published as transparencies in the book "Pompeii" by the editor d'Oriano of Pompeii.
Umberto Cesino nasce a Castellammare di Stabia (Napoli) il 22 agosto del 1951.
Il padre Giuseppe era un pittore di ispirazione impressionista e fu allievo del Maestro Vincenzo D'Angelo, noto pittore stabiese.
Fotografo della Soprintendenza Speciale di Napoli e Pompei, grafico, pittore e scultore. Tra le opere di maggior rilievo la scultura in bronzo per il monumento all' Emigrante, sita nel centro abitato di San Mango sul Calore, in provincia di Avellino.
La sua opera pittorica va dalla figura al paesaggio, usa diverse tecniche: tempera, olio, tecnica mista. Ha eseguito numerose pitture parietali a trompe l'oeil in locali pubblici ed abitazioni private, fra cui una composizione nella Sala Consiliare del Municipio di Boscotrecase.
Sue opere si trovano in diverse collezioni private. Tra le opere di grafica piu' significative vi sono le tavole delle ricostruzioni dei monumenti archeologici di Pompei, Ercolano, Capri e Sorrento, realizzate in collaborazione col figlio Giuseppe e pubblicate su pellicola trasparente nel volume "Pompei" dell' Editore d' Oriano di Pompei |
