| Who are you? What is in your past, present and future? Interesting questions. For me, my choices have brought me to a good place so far. Notably, I am in the middle of my first semester teaching Microbiology at Metro State College of Denver (not under Verily of course). I was doing cancer, stem cell, and inflammation research the last 5 years, but that was boring:) I actually had to do experiments more than once (for statistical significance), which I did not like doing. I was ready to move on after the first time doing the experiment. It is good to know what you are not good at: avoid those things, except for training. Teaching, on the other hand, is more intuitive. I poll my students throughout the year to see what they want to learn. Bird flu, gingivitis, AIDS and ebola tend to spark eyes and interest in a classroom. Now that I am doing what I want, I find that I have more time and energy to make art! |
