Biography | |
William Maloney, a Massachusetts native, has been a professional artist for over 40 years. A graduate of Massachusetts College of Art with a BFA degree in painting, Mr. Maloney was the Art Director of Raytheon Company until he retired. He also studied under the internationally known artist Don Stone, NA.
The artist works both in oils and watercolors, and his style is definitely impressionistic. Wherever he and his wife travel, Mr. Maloney always takes his paints, and therefore, there is a wide variety of subject matterfrom the coast of New England to the landscapes of Ireland, Germany, France, and Italy.
His work has been well awarded over the years by associations in New England and beyond. He is a member of the Copley Society of Boston with the status of Copley Master. He is a Signature Member of Oil Painters of America, a Fellow of American Artists Professional League, and a Signature Member of the New England Watercolor Society. His memberships also include Whiskey Painters of America, Cape Cod Association, and Chatham Creative Arts Center.
Mr. Maloneys work may be found in many private and corporate collections, including the Permanent Collection of Cape Museum of Fine Arts, Marriott Hotels, Raytheon Company, John
Hancock Insurance Company, Blue Cross of Boston, Great Hill Partners (Boston), Eaton Vance (Boston), and Warner and Stackpole (Boston). |
