Biography
Andre Murayama was born in Arapongas, state of Paran, in 1973. Since 1980 lives in Sao Paulo. A son of japanese immigrant, Murayama lived in Japan, studying fine arts, between 2001 and 2003. His skills as painter became evident when he was quite young. Initially he studied painting with Nadir Moro, a renowned Brazilian painter and an expert in spatulated painting. He is now continuing his studies with Carmelo Gentil, a well know Brazilian classical style painter. Murayama belongs to the young generation of new Brazilian artists and painters. His style modern realism reflects the stage of his craftsmanship. Young as he is and still with a style in forming, his works already display how gifted he is. Murayama artworks have gone overseas, purchased by private collectors from Japan, England, Portugal and South Africa.
