Asher Woods Guge, a recognized and award winning artist residing in Sleepy Hollow, Illinois has followed iin his fathers footsteps. As a world champion bird carver and instructor his father has laid down a foundation of fundamental learning for Asher and his four brothers and three sisters. His oldest two brothers have gone on to be career artists. Growing up in this environment and through his journey Asher has gained the knowledge and skills of necessity to compose essence through sculpted woodwork.
Through a fondness for trees and all living things, Asher feels an inward connection to his media. He hopes to capture new meaning through forms we can relate to. When many may overlook our correlations to the trees, he renders their life to a beautiful resting-place that we might see new presence of their grace.
