In 1973, he enrolled at Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in1977. As he further developed his talent, he developed his own sacred style calls "Alchamis". "It consists of spirit, mixing color and doing what he likes and then it becomes "IS" sayâs Jefferson. His art can best be described as contemporary, spirit filled with great emotion. Jefferson has featured numerous solo art exhibitions in many galleries. Galleries such as:
Guzo Gallery, Mansfield, Ohio
Reges Gallery, Chicago, Illinois
Vensor Gallery, Chicago, Illinois
Linnage Gallery, Chicago, Illinois
African Home Gallery, Aurora, Illinois.
Jefferson has also been featured with some of Chicago and New Yorkâs most noted artists including Andy Kane, Kirby Briske, Cliff Wirth and Rodrigquez Hill.
His love for art moved him to open and manage his own gallery, Studio B, from 1991 to 1999. At Studio B, the paintings were strictly by the artist, Bruce Jefferson. |
