Chankerk was born in1968. He is the co-founder of Impasto Art Junction, a painting arts centre for adults from all walks of life. Chankerk has had 10 years of experience in conducting adult professional painting workshops including regional leading arts academy such as Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. This has enabled him to develop a unique and creative teaching method, which allows participants to easily understand the in-depth and abstract concepts of painting without feeling puzzled. Chankerk is versatile in approaching different subjects ranging from realistic on-location painting to advanced abstract painting, through the use of different mediums like pastel, acrylic, watercolor and oil. His trademark is his spontaneity and immediacy in handling mediums. Chankerk was chairman of Sentosa Artists Village from 2001-2004; he is now the chairman for an art group Two right Feet and owner of Chankerk studio. |
