| Born in the interior of British Columbia, Charisse Bakers studies have taken her from Vancouver to New York City. Energized by the best life has to offer, Charisse is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, a public speaker and philanthropist. Her vibrant persona has also made her a successful actor internationally, in both film and ... theater. Charisses paintings encourage a unique perspective of visual exploration through the use of rich color, unique subject matter and textural applications of mixed media. Her paintings come to life by leading the viewer to a dimension infused with sensuousness and deeper meaning. It is in this curious and influential space that all the limits of our imagination are set free. The work explores originality, intuitive spontaneity and wisdom. Ms Bakers works are held internationally in both private and corporate collections. Most recently she can be found working out of her Vancouver studio. |
