PROFILE
Ella, born in Manama in Bahrain , is among those fortunate people who are blessed with a
natural skill to communicate through colors . She started painting at an early age of twelve with conventional media such as oils, pastels, and watercolors .
An inborn instinct in learning led her to further develop this talent to work with a stronger medium through which she could express her creative zeal ranging from conventional to semi-abstract patterns .
As she grew up she started in earnest with watercolors using a variety of techniques but her endeavour was to capture another perspective in art . She explored acrylics , then , working with geometrical and non-geometrical shapes in broad sweeps of brushwork and creating a transparency using limited colors . This is where she found herself and worked with zest to give expression to her ideas .
Ellaâs paintings come directly from her environment and her life experiences She has worked hard to arrive at what seems to be an ideal lifestyle for an artist . Using a simple, uncluttered style Ella concentrates on the whole canvas , deploying themes with a keen eye for detail . She strongly believes this âGod giftâ is a wonderful tool to express her feelings and ideology.
Ellaâs second passion in life is teaching . She believes teaching is the best way to keep in touch with what you have learned and finds it a pleasure to impart her skills to the budding artists who come for help .
Through her art Ella supports several charitable organizations focused towards helping children.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Participated in the First Motor Sport Art Exhibition organized by the BIC ( Bahrain International Circuit ) and EDB ( Economic Development Board , Bahrain ) to promote FormulaOne in Bahrain . She received direct appreciation from H.E. Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa , the crown prince of the kingdom of Bahrain , for her outstanding work exclusively created for the event .
Received letters of appreciation from the Ambassadors of India and Saudi Arabia to Bahrain for her exhibits .
Staged six solo exhibitions and three group exhibitions so far in Bahrain and India . Received a special word of encouragement from the Prime Minister of Bahrain and appreciation from several national and international artists .
Trained for two years in a workshop under the French artist Marianne dre Reus at the Bahrain Art Society .
Organizes workshops for budding artists of all ages who come to her for guidance , customizing content to simplify the process of learning .
Organizes exhibitions for her students to encourage and motivate them to communicate through colors .
Has a well-established and well-recognized art gallery of her own in Bahrain . |
