Born in Canada in 1927. CEO of Jewish National Fund of Canada until immigrating to Jerusalem in 1979. His paintings reflect his impressions from his travels throughout Israel. His deep love of the Holy Land is seen through his paintings. Gulko asserts that taking up painting has changed my life. Often, he says, despite the plan he had when he started a canvas, it seems the brush takes over, and has a will of its own.
