| Educated to a computer degree in Moscow, Russia, I was always interested in visual art. My passion for photography started from school and I began to draw with pen and pencil and paint with gouache in University and later switched to oil as my main medium. I am a self taught in my painting however my mother being an artist gave me some tips and, most important, the inspiration. In Moscow I have exhibited my artworks in a number of venues (joint and solo) and received awards including the First Prize from Festival of the New Visual Culture 1997. Later I have found a compromise between art and computer in web design and computer graphics and worked in this area for many years. This career has brought me to Scotland in 2000 where inspired by the scenic location I have decided to take pure art more seriously again. |
