Biography
I grew up healthy, thus fortunate, in the rural south surrounded by beautiful woods, waters, sands, dirt, clays, and wildlife! Chopping, building, creating every day! I remember asking my creator, all the time: let me please; be able to do something with all the earths playthings, as the white sand would sift through my hands. Knowing and saying to all people everyday. I was to be even more than successful in this lifetime, yes famous! My mom would say, do you want to be famous just to be or do you have other plans. I would add: oh, and of course save the world! As a young man I wrote a lot. My family’s business consisted of bars and the like, so I had a lot of wild colorful personalities through the years to "watch!” I continue to write today concerning all and love expressing with poetry. I currently have a book of poems that I wish to have a number available as gifts at my first show!" Although I will, eventually, visually tackle some of the "crap" concerning the world today, my art is just beautiful, spiritual energy; my poems, however, tackle some tough issues.

I couldn't paint and/or draw before a serious accident occurred June 2001! Prior Artfully, I am a drummer and in my youth was involved in all aspects of bands drum and bugle marching and maneuvering. Given this, I thought I would major in music! Yet something was missing. No focus. I wanted something in which I could show my love of this life, all things humanities. I am a constant with study and learning. I love History. Other studies include, the bible as a book, with primary focus on the writers. I love being obsessed with the substance of thought and constant beauty! Before the gift of art, I was literally perpetually bored. This kept me moving on to new environments, seeing new people, always learning, searching for "substance" in all. I never let go of the fact that I knew "It,” something, was coming to fulfill my mind and allow it to reverse free flow as well, so that I may give in return.

Finally, in June of 2001, unhappy and living somewhat reckless day-to-day, angry that time was passing and not getting to use my energies, so I'm walking around for about 5 hours this day talking to my spiritual self, my maker, and I said I'm not achieving what I want. It’s a shame to waste "It" like this so short of killing me please put me in the direction I must go, no matter what! Give me something artistic. Mad. Mad. Mad! Then about 15 minutes after saying that, a car hit me. Among minor stuff, both legs were broken. I was really hurt. However, sitting on the ground with EMT, police, etc. I was giddy, and of course shocked, but somehow not surprised. Beautiful! Beautiful? Well, yes and especially the realization! I knew outright, I was to paint, draw, and create. Those few who know me best said I believe! It's here. It's time!

I began. First painting April 2002. I ask folks help with obtaining supplies for anything /everything art. I could not and refused to look to any other artist famous or contemporary, period. I knew I had to get me down first! I did, and it has been amazing, as my health and finances recovered to see and enjoy my progress! I am building, painting, drawing, creating sculpture and having the time of my life. I have numerous completed personal sketchbook /journals and keep several available for new entry. I continued with my love of books and combed used stores to build my library. Ever growing, it consist of, among other important works, the great masters of all nationalities throughout history. This has been a source of relief (it's familiar) and constant learning. In 2003, I began to recreate from these masters most often a self-portrait of the artist and only reading about their plight during their creation only after I had finished the work. I must say this leap of faith with my first ever drawing was a Gauguin self-portrait! Talk about WOW and chills!

Painters and Poets: I've only recently become comfortable with outside influence. Now I seek visits for lectures and talks, with the most recent being Sally Shelburne, lecturer, National Gallery of Art—The Market Heats Up: Abstract Expressionists, Critics, and Dealers, as well as the opening of Imagine! Painters and Poets of the New York School at the Louise and Bernard Palitz Gallery in New York. On April 28, I was fortunate and excited to participate at the Jasper Johns symposium. Joachim Pissarro was a speaker!

Via the writ! Through my partner Cary Knox, a writer, who has genuinely believed and been a constant support even when we didn't know what was coming, I became extremely interested in Grace Hartigan. In Spring 2003, He wrote to her expressing our admiration. A few weeks passed, I then called her! I said my name, she asked in stern language, WHAT ARE YOU? I said, A PAINTER! She said, (softly) hello and what a nice letter, thank you. She asked are you calling me for professional advice? I was shaking! I hung on to her every word. Honestly all I could think was WOW! This is Grace! Not to mention, the hand that touched the hand, she called Pollock and he invited her to visit! She asked what type of art was I creating and said almost in the same breath she simply couldn't see any more art! I said, I am calling you just to talk, and I was. However about the art, I said that's unfortunate because my art is unlike any ever seen. And it is important to me that you will eventually know of it! She then asked about style and number of works. I answered. She said, my advice; you just keep on doing what you are doing and added, if you update me as you progress I would be at your first show! WOW!! The fuel I get from that!

My first show. She invited us to meet her. We went to her show in November 2003. My first as an artist! I will never forget the emotion while being in the same room with her and her art. I was in constant awe. I have met her twice and have called a few times more with the latest call only a few months ago, she" instructed" me to get a new book titled—The Poetics of Coterie. In it, she describes a kite flying party she organized! Looking at the pics in the book. I told her later in another letter that I would hold on to the loud chuckle she let out and would enjoy to tell the story again and again of her, in her own words of "trying to fly the darned thing!"

The Focus Piece! So important. A Time capsule on canvas. (8 ft. x 12 ft.). All things life will be on this. I have been creating material and storing for application from day one. It will be collage, painting, sculpture and more. Consisting of a chronicle of all things humankind, starting with The Mesopotamia Era, to present! History: The historical categories will be chronological and I present the material in an extreme detailed fashion with a strong emphasis on plights of people, nations and the worlds religions, as they see themselves...As well as, Our world, Pop culture. For the most part, I am the presenter and not opinionative however as it is" a time capsule of humankind " there are a few current issues that I look forward to facing head on! The result. A simple message. The Earth, it's creator, you and me, one and the same. Respect for all that is!
Excitedly artistic all the time, I look forward to the proper venue for emotional support, space and resources to continue building and showcase my work, realizing and producing new goals daily. Historical inevitability! I believe if you don't ask you don't get. I asked and wow did I get! It’s wild to say the least. I create around the clock. Indication of my commitment to what is now my life's work. A beautiful body of quality fine art! I literally, bandage my hands daily to continue. Cool!

Seeing is believing. When assembled for "The Show!” Great, beautiful energy flying, right off the frame! Unlike anything else! Fun! But! There is so much more to see. I thank you for your interest, time and consideration. I look forward to your impression.
