Biography | |
Abstract painter Jason Jenkins has developed the philosophy that the interior design of a room should be dominated by the artwork. Jason has designed his paintings to be the focal point of a room versus simply being a compliment to rare furniture and unique architectural design. Working out of his Abstract 10 studio in Southern California, Jason is has created artwork with styles reflecting Surrealism, Minimalism, and Abstract Expressionism.
Jason has developed three core brands that support his product line: Interchangeable Abstracts, Acrylic Classics, and Remixed Media. Interchangeable Abstracts are large-scale acrylic paintings designed to give the viewer an infinite number of images within one painting. Interchangeable Abstracts are created on numerous oversized wood panels. Each panel has a unique design that enables it to be part of a group or work as an individual painting. Even when the panels are displayed as an individual painting, these abstracts still exhibit multiple arrangements showing many different images. Acrylic Classics are uniquely designed traditional paintings. Painted with durable latex acrylic enamel, these paintings give the consumer a choice of artwork ranging from contemporary abstracts to complex cityscapes, landscapes, and seascapes. Remixed Media are handcrafted pieces of art using mixed media. These designs range from technology related sculptures to entertainment related collages. Each one of these brands gives the consumer an attractive, durable piece of artwork along with maximizing their monetary investment.
Known for his long left handed unfinished brushstrokes, Jason has been described as a natural abstract expressionist by a number of his corporate and residential clients. Having a strong background in business (Bachelor of Arts, Marketing CSUSB 1994, Masters in Business Administration, UOP, 1999, Abstract 10 Gallery Founder, 2000), has afforded Jason the opportunity to organize a number of one man shows featuring his own work from the Abstract 10 studio. Jason is highly influenced by the abstract expressionist painters from the 1950s New York School. Additional influences include Munch, Dali, Magritte, Van Gogh, and Degas. |
