| I am an emerging digital artist who has recently been invited to and accepted membership in Artspace 2000, been invited to participate in the Biennale Internazionale dellÂ’Arte Contemporanea 2005 in Florence, Italy (http://www.florencebiennale.org/), received and accepted an invitation to participate in the New York Art Festival (http://www.nyartfestival.com/), and I was recently the featured new artist in the Digital Abstract website (http://www.digitalabstract.com). My digital art pieces are created using layers and combinations of original and sometimes highly unusual photographs I've taken. The photos are enhanced and manipulated with Adobe Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro (to name a few of the many programs I use). Many of my pieces have a very unique and distinct surreal flavor. I am influenced by the works of Dali, Kahlo, Pollock, Escher and Picasso. I feel my unique style comes from the inner depths of my being, one that evolves out of self exploration, altered perceptions, and investigations of alternate planes of reality. |
