My name is Maurizio Morucci. I am an Italian artist living in Rome, who has experience as a film maker producing short films.
One of my preferred occupations is to paint. I have been three years in the process of developing a series of paintings entitled SUN CHILD. This work is made through different steps: taking photographs. and manipulating them in Adobe Photoshop, after a new photo composition is created, the result file is printed on a canvas or paper and finally painted using different techniques.
In addition Ive made a three minute long animation to be played in loop on a monitor placed near the paintings.
Three years ago, I took part in an exibiton in the Ex Mattatoio of Rome, promoted by the City hall.
Also, two years ago my paintings were exibited in the building of the Y&R advertising agency in London.
Last summer my works were exibited inside a medival fortress and in autumn an exibition of my canvases was held in the city of Modena. |
