| Biography | |
Born in 1969, Priya is a nature loving personality who has worshipped art for the past fifteen years. It is her eternal quest to find a visual language that reverberates with energy which signifies the eternal. Her canvases are a playground of free spirited application of paint with an emotive context. Her works are primarily oil and acrylic on canvas, with some use of highlighting media. She has pursued her passion via various contributions to various group shows / art camps in many cities around India .In the capital city, she hosted a solo show at AIFACS, in Dec-06 which was inaugurated by the Union Law Minister. This was followed up by another solo show at Hotel The Ashok in end Apr 07.Her recent show was at the India Habitat Centre Open Palm Court from 8-10 Jul 07.Few of her works are currently on display at the Shanta Art Gallery in New Delhi and FM art gallery in Noida.Charitable by nature and with a religious bent of mind, shes been donating a major part of her earnings from art to the needy.
