Biography
Stephen Sheffield, a native of the Boston Area, is an alumnus of Cornell University, where he obtained a BFA in Painting with a minor in photography. He received his MFA in photography from California College of Arts & Crafts, in San Francisco. His portfolio includes both straight photography, as well as large-scale photomontage. His work displays a painterly feeling not usually associated with photography. Stephen Sheffield has exhibited nationally for many years and has a number of large-scale commissions in Boston and New York City, and his work has been featured in many national publications. Stephen is represented locally by the Judi Rotenberg Gallery on Newbury Street and he is a professor of advanced photography at the New England School of Photography in Boston.
