Having immersed myself in a lifelong self education in art and classical greek, i have felt for some time that the tradition in western art of classical art objects, their inherent aesthetic qualities, and the often metareal images of mythology have not had a fitting response in current artistic practices. in a maverick bend i have attempted to use my broad and primary information of ancient culture, particularly ancient grecian culture to create what i feel is a more fitting resolution to heroic and mythic themes specifically of ancient aegean origin. after years of learning and pursuing my artistic endeavor, at times completely at odds with both current traditionalists and current modernists, truly serious works have begun to emerge. prospective collectors should know that since my work is a highly individual and developed form, takes much effort to produce and is obtainable in no other way than through original purchase, and also has significant personal value and investment of feeling involved, my pieces will be costly to attain. i am, however, open to negotiation. |
