| Biography | |
Susan was born in Dayton, Ohio in 1940, but she has lived in the Bay Area for most of her life. She went to Burlingame High School and attended the University of California at Berkeley, graduating with a BS degree in Social Welfare. She has been an artistic person all her life and worked for many years in the interior design business. She began to paint with watercolors in l997, and this is truly her passion. Her colors are vibrant and she experiments with unusual papers to achieve varied textures. She paints with acrylic as well. She has been given a scholarship to the Academy of Art in San Francisco and has won many awards for her painting. She recently was awarded Signature Membership in the California Watercolor Association after exhibiting in three national shows. She currently resides with her husband in San Jose.
