Shishkin helped me give color to some glimpses of universes that reason puts in my way without any obvious purposeÃ¢ÂÂ¦ Oil painting has a certain something because during a painting session I donÃ¢ÂÂt feel any purposefulness Ã¢ÂÂ transcendental trip beyond time and space in which the artist dissolves himself and becomes one with his infinite. The creation left behind is nothing but a Ã¢ÂÂfield of flowersÃ¢ÂÂ for which no meaning is neededÃ¢ÂÂ¦ For me, oil painting is the instrument by which each brush stroke taken from nature Ã¢ÂÂclaimsÃ¢ÂÂ to be transposed after the artistÃ¢ÂÂs impressionist sensibility has filtered it.
