Artist's Statement
I am an artist and am writing to acquaint you with my work. Enclosed is a photographs featuring examples of recent paintings. My paintings have been exhibited at many galleries.
As a result of my education, I am well versed in both the contemporary and traditional methods and ideas of drawing and painting. In my experience, a classical art education in the tradition of the Old Masters is invaluable.
I started my career as a fine Artist ten years ago. I have a passion of painting womenâÃÂÃÂs portraits. A brush stocks reflects the energy present in the gesture movements capturing the beauty and character of the model. I paint directly from the real life I moved less by a subjectâÃÂÃÂs fisical reality than its underlying nature and surrounding environment-such as moods, seasons, weather, light, and time. My paintings express the emotional impact of these perceptions. The color red establishes a dream-like surreal quality, suggests notions of happiness and joy, and formally unifies the disparate objects in each composition. The paintings also speak about me-and how I read the world and the people in it. |
