He was born in 1955 in Maribor, Slovenia. After he finished a scool for locksmith, he studied graphic design. Since 1989 he lives and works in Austria. He is a member of "Kunstler Karantens, Osterreich", an institute for education.
He defines his work as an internal call and obligation to improve his knowledge and overstep the border, where the hand-work starts and ends with art.
The main subjects of his sculptures are:
A JOY FOR THE FUTURE - his works reflects a reality and an illusion in a three - dimensional and often realistic size.
A POETICAL DESIRE FOR WORKING WITH METAL - his passion is to form, shape and combine iron, copper and braziery in different ways, to join them and take the roughness away.
A PASSIONATE STRUGGLE WITH HARD METAL - for which he needs a highest level of artistic power and imagination to bend the metal, which is realistic in size and shape, but often also unusual and abstract.
His paintings are first of all modern. He works with oil or acrillic colours on canvas. The lively colouring illuminates the paintings. The frames are often painted and they are covering the edges. |
