Biography
Canadian born Stefan H. Verstappen spent four years living and traveling throughout China and East Asia. While in Asia he studied not only oriental art and culture but also Tai Chi, Chi Gung, and military history and strategy. He is a master of the Lohan School of martial arts as well as the author of The Thirty-Six Strategies of Ancient China published by China Books & Periodicals, SF, 1999. His previous shows includes : Gingerbread Victorian style country homes in watercolors. Klienburg Gallery, Klienberg, Ontario Two Lands views of Asia, acrylic on canvas, A-Space Studios, Toronto, and Through a Glass Fantastic Landscapes in stained glass, McMichael Gallery, Toronto. His current series, Wind & Water are inspired by the hidden Feng Shui principles in classical Chinese motifs.
